Berlayar A.I. (“Berlayar”, “we”, “our”) builds practical software for individual creators and small teams. We are the data controller for personal information processed through our products, including the canvas-native creative tool aether and our publishing integrations with social platforms. This page describes what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions: hello@ernie.sg.

1. What we collect

  • Account information. Your name, email address, and any avatar you provide when you sign in to a Berlayar product.
  • Workspace content. The creative work you place on your canvas: reference images, brand notes, prompts, generations, and exported assets. This content is yours; we host it so you can return to it.
  • Connected platform tokens. When you connect a social account (Instagram, Pinterest, X, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook) we store the short-lived OAuth tokens needed to publish on your behalf, scoped to your account only.
  • Operational logs. Request timestamps, IP, error traces, and model-call metadata used to debug failures and bill providers. We do not log the bodies of generated assets.

2. Why we use it

  • To provide the product you signed up for and keep your work synced across devices.
  • To call third-party AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Replicate, Volcengine Ark, Modal) on your behalf, only with the inputs you submit.
  • To publish content to the social platforms you have explicitly connected, on the schedule you set, and to read back post status so you can see whether a post went live.
  • To investigate abuse, comply with law, and protect the service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your workspace content to train models that benefit other customers.

3. Platform integrations

When you connect a platform, that platform’s own privacy policy and developer terms apply alongside this one. We act on your instructions only — we do not post, read, or modify content unless you direct us to.

  • Pinterest. Used only to authenticate the connecting creator, create pins on boards they own, and read post-creation status. See the Pinterest Privacy Policy.
  • X (Twitter). Used to post tweets the creator authored and to read back the post status. See the X Privacy Policy.
  • Meta (Instagram & Facebook), TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube. Same scope: post on the connecting account, read back status. Each platform’s policy applies.

You can disconnect any platform from inside the product at any time. Disconnecting revokes our token immediately; previously published posts are not deleted.

4. Data retention

  • Workspace content is kept until you delete it or close your account.
  • OAuth tokens are kept until you disconnect the platform or they expire.
  • Operational logs are kept for up to 30 days, then aggregated or deleted.

5. Sub-processors

We rely on the following infrastructure and AI providers to run the service. They process data only on our instructions and under their own published terms.

  • Cloudflare (workers, storage, CDN)
  • Convex (workspace database)
  • Modal (GPU/CPU compute for vision models)
  • Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Replicate, Volcengine Ark (model inference)
  • Postiz (self-hosted publish queue) and the connected social platforms above

6. Your choices

  • Access, export, or delete your workspace content from inside the product.
  • Disconnect any social platform at any time to revoke our access.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing hello@ernie.sg. We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days.

7. Children

Berlayar products are not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

8. Changes

We will update this page when our practices change and will revise the “last updated” date above. Material changes that affect how we use your data will also be communicated by email to active accounts.
